VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for the position of Chairman & Dean, Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore. The candidates should have proven track record of integrity with successful management / target achievement and ability to communicate effectively, build a dedicated team of professionals & provide dynamic leadership.

Position: Chairman & Dean, Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore

Age: Not more than 55 years

Emoluments: BPS-22 with fringe benefits as admissible to BS-22 Civil Servants.

Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent qualification with higher postgraduate qualification i.e. Ph.D. in case of Basic Sciences and FCPS, MRCP, FRCS and American Board, etc. in case of Clinical Sciences recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
• Should be, or should have been, a Professor of Scientific and Medical repute in a Medical Institute.
• Master's Degree or Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Public Health and / or Health Services Administration and / or Medical Sciences will be preferred.

Experience:

• Being Professor in Medical Profession, 3 years experience in hospital administration and management, preferably as head of a Medical Institution.
• Minimum 15 publications in peer reviewed journals of which at least 3 should be in international journals.

Tenure: The Selected candidate will be appointed for a tenure of three years on contract basis, extendable for further period not exceeding three years at a time but not beyond attaining the age of superannuation (60 years), on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Federal Government.
