Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, met with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko
Pakistan is interested in enhancing business ties with Russia, said Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, at the meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, today in Moscow.
Speaker Sadiq noted that the business cooperation between Pakistan and Russia has increased significantly but there is still room for development. He further underscored that there is an urgent need to find working financial mechanisms in order to remove remaining obstacles to trade cooperation.
The Speaker added that Pakistan needs oil, gas, machinery and many other products from Russia, calling on to step up business cooperation.
"Let the G2G work, but we, at the parliamentary level, also want to promote business ties," the Speaker said.
The Speaker also recalled Matviyenko’s visit to Islamabad this October and highlighted that the increased intensity of bilateral exchanges at all levels was a testament to growing Pakistan Russia relations.
The Speaker underscored the role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in Pakistan-Russia relations while emphasizing the need for regional connectivity.
Both sides agreed to continue regular parliamentary exchanges.
