Kashmir Black Day 27 October 2024
Kashmir Black Day 27 October 2024
A special event was held today at the Embassy of Pakistan in Russia to commemorate Kashmir Black Day, marking the 27th October as a day to remember the Indian occupation of the Kashmir Valley.
Pakistan's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Khalid Jamali, along with members of the Pakistani community in Russia and Embassy officials, participated in the event.
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out by H.E. Ambassador and Second Secretary Mr. Muhammad Tayyab respectively.
In his remarks, Ambassador Jamali paid tribute to Kashmiri leaders, specifically mentioning Syed Ali Shah Geelani, a prominent Kashmiri politician, who devoted his life to fighting for the right of Kashmiris to decide their own future. The Ambassador further noted that it is a diplomatic success for Pakistan that the issue of Kashmir remains on the agenda at various international platforms. He reiterated Pakistan's firm determination to continue providing diplomatic, political, and moral support for the people of Kashmir.
A documentary highlighting the Kashmiri people's resistance to Indian occupation in Jammu and Kashmir was screened. Additionally, a photographic exhibition showcasing the atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces and the ongoing freedom struggle in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was organized.
